Do you have a studio?
We do not own our own studio. We are excited to announce we now have a great working relationship with the owners of Studio North MKE, a beautiful light studio in Milwaukee. We are happy to book in the studio with enough advance notice. Note- If studio space is rented for your session it will add cost to the overall session fee. See sessions here.
Do you help us coordinate outfits?
We love to help inspire coordinated outfits for your upcoming shoot! Head over to our Pinterest Page to get some color inspiration and styling help. In general we like to keep your photos looking timeless. We suggest keeping patterns and bright colors to a minimum. Send us an email if you have some questions specific to your outfits.
Do you give us unedited photos?
We do not deliver unedited photos. We work very hard to create a cohesive L&A style to our photos in the editing process. We ask that the photographs we take for you stay exactly as they are delivered to you. If we deliver unedited work we will not be able to keep that cohesive style that clients book us for.
When do you schedule sessions?
We like to schedule our sessions out as far as possible. At a minimum we have been booking out a least 4 weeks ahead. The exact time of the session will be based on when we have the best lighting. We prefer to photograph outdoor sessions in the last 2 hours before the sun sets. This time changes depending on the time of year. Also we have peak seasons so booking in advance is always good!
How does payment work?
When we have a date set for your session, we will send you a link to your proposal and contract. This link will then give you the payment set up. We require 20% of your total session as a deposit to hold your day. On the day of your session the remainder of your payment is due. If for whatever reason a session is not paid the full gallery will not be delivered until payment is received.
Can we shoot at multiple locations?
We like to scout and pick locations that offer a lot of variety without using up session time on travel. We are open to doing sessions at multiple locations as long as we stay within the session time.
Do you photoshop us?
We use a light edit to enhance the beauty that is already there. Everyone worries about the occasional breakout that always seems to happen the day of your session, but we take care of that. We like to keep things looking very natural and that is how we “photoshop” as well. Face swapping or adding in family members takes much more time per photo in editing. I do not add in family members on a regular basis or do face swapping on the regular. (We reserve the right to individual cases depending on the situation.)
What if we have to reschedule?
Life can be unpredictable. When we schedule your session we understand that things can come up. The most frequent unknown being the weather or maybe Covid. We do our best to stay in touch with you leading up to your session to make sure weather is looking good and we are all set for the session time. If there is a need to reschedule we do our best to get that taken care of ASAP.
